Kowhai Watercolour Studio
Barbara's
new cliff top home overlooking Long Bay and the Hauraki Gulf includes a
purpose built gallery and a separate painting studio. The location
offers an abundance of inspiration that feature in her vibrant scenery,
still life and floral paintings.
Most
of her work is in water media, watercolour and acrylic, sometimes on
silk. Her strong sense of design was developed during her formal
training as a fabric designer,where she created patterns for the
fashion industry in Krefeld, the manufacturing centre of the German
silk and velvet industry.
